Couple reasons. I always like talking to people, like working with people, like working with my hands, like solving problems. And it’s the one field that I feel like checked a lot of those boxes more than anything. The talking to people aspect always kind of drew me to it. You know, before being a dentist, I was an engineer, and working on that a lot of times it’s very rewarding work, challenging work, you know, having to think through problems, but the people aspect is kind of what I miss the most about that. So, it, kind of, drew me to dentistry and honestly, you know, you get out of school not knowing if you’re gonna like it, enjoy it, not like it. And it’s been, I would say, more enjoyable and, you know, rewarding sounds a little corny, but it’s been a much better career than I could have imagined. I get to work with a great team of people, get to use my hands every day, you know, use my brain, solve problems and talk to people. So I think it fits a lot of my strengths.

Dr. Mark is a native of Hodgenville, KY, but he now lives and works in Elizabethtown. With more than 40 years of experience, he is ready to help you and your loved ones improve and maintain your healthy smiles. He also is a member of both the Kentucky Dental Association and the American Dental Association.
When patients come to see him, Dr. Mark makes time to sit and talk with them. He wants to know about any issues that concern you, what your smile goals are, and any questions you may have about your options. Dr. Mark makes sure you have the information you need so you can make the right decisions about how to proceed with your care.
When you come to our office, you can expect an atmosphere that is both friendly and casual. Dr. Mark wants you to be as comfortable as possible, whether you are visiting us for a routine dental cleaning, restorative care like fillings, or for a more complex service such as dental implants.

This is one of the best places I have ever been to have dental work. The staff ( Dr. Nichols’s, Tasha, Andrea, Beverley and more) I highly recommend it. I had a root canal crack from a previous place and the team there went right to work on how it fit me best to fix it. In the end I got a new bridge. I have also had two cleaning and a crown.
