Improve Your Smile & Your Confidence With Clear Braces

Many teens and adults want to change their crooked teeth and misaligned bites. If you don’t want to wear metal braces, you may think clear aligners are a good option. Unfortunately, not all problems can be easily solved with aligners. For better or worse, sometimes braces are the best solution. With tooth-colored brackets, ceramic braces give you a way to get the benefits of this treatment without being as noticeable as traditional braces.

Discretion isn’t the only reason you may want to consider this orthodontic option to change your smile. Ceramic braces also:

  • Are good for patients with metal allergies

  • Can fix the same issues as traditional braces

  • Are easier for people who do not want to take aligners out multiple times a day

After you complete your treatment, you can take advantage of our other cosmetic services. Many people will get teeth whitening, so their new smiles can look their best.

It’s never a bad time to do something about crowded teeth, crooked smiles, bite issues, or gaps in your smile. Metal braces are not your only orthodontic option any more.

Common Question

Common Questions About Clear Ceramic Braces

What are clear ceramic braces?

Clear braces are made of clear or tooth-colored brackets and wires, so they’re less visible than traditional metal braces. This effective orthodontic solution works much the same way as standard braces without drawing a lot of attention to your brackets and wires. That’s why older teens and adults often prefer this option.

Since clear or tooth-colored brackets are less durable than metal, your orthodontic treatment with ceramic braces may take slightly longer than treatment with metal braces. We may need to replace brackets more often, as they are more likely to break under pressure during treatment. Because of this, we typically recommend clear or ceramic braces for adult patients.

The cost of clear ceramic braces is typically comparable to or slightly more than the cost of metal braces. The added expense is largely because patients may require more frequent maintenance visits during a slightly longer overall treatment time. Since ceramic is less durable than metal, we may also have to replace brackets, which can add cost.
